Summer Social 2026: A Warm Evening at the Glasshouses

Our annual Summer Social returned to the Ravenscourt Park Glasshouses, and what a wonderful evening it was. Held during the heatwave but cooled by a welcome breeze, members and neighbours gathered among the lavender beds to catch up over good food and cool refreshments in a genuinely lovely community setting.

We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Councillor Sharon Holder, along with Councillor Stephen Cowan, Leader of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Music came from Angelique Martinet on violin, accompanied on cello, providing a beautiful backdrop from beneath the marquee, while the raffle proved a great success, distributing plenty of prizes including meals at local pubs, bottles of champagne and a Fortnum & Mason hamper.

Our thanks go to committee member John Ashworth for once again organising the event, to everyone who came along, and to additional committee members who helped set up and serve.

As ever, the Summer Social was a chance to put faces to names, welcome newcomers to the neighbourhood and celebrate what makes Brackenbury such a special place to live. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!
