Pedestrian Crossing Reinstatement on Glenthorne Rd

A Notice from LBH&F Council:

Dear Residents and Businesses,

Glenthorne Road – Pedestrian Crossing Reinstatement Works

I am writing to inform you about the upcoming highway works on Glenthorne Road near the
junction with Beadon Road.
These works will involve reinstall the previous pedestrian crossing at its original location on
Glenthorne Road near its junction with Beadon Road and Overstone Road. The new zebra
crossing will consist of new road marking, Belisha Beacons and new kerb adjustment works to
allow tactile paving to be installed at the crossing points on both sides of the pavements
together with a new street lighting columns which will be installed later in Spring.
During the work period, temporary traffic management measures will be in operation to
manage traffic flow on Glenthorne Road and ensure that the works are carried out safely and
with minimal disruption.

When will the work be done?
The works are scheduled to begin on the week commencing Monday 07th April and are
expected to continue until Friday 18th April, weather permitting.
How will the traffic be managed?
 A temporary traffic measurement lane closures will in operation for the duration of the
works.
 The bus stop in front of the works will still be in operation during the works.
Sorry for the noise and disruption
We have instructed our contractor to minimise noise and disruption as much as possible
during these works. We sincerely apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
