BRACKENBURY RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION – NOTICE OF THE 2015 AGM
BRA’S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on Tuesday, 7 July 2015 at 7.30 p.m. at the Grove Neighbourhood Centre in Bradmore Park Road.
We hope as many members as possible will be able to attend. This is an opportunity for you to hear the Committee’s reports and plans and also to raise any ideas or issues of concern to you.
All Committee members who were elected at the last AGM can now stand for re-election for further one-year terms. Any full or associate members of the Association may also stand for election to the Committee. We need new Committee members at present and would welcome anyone offering to serve. Nominations for the Committee must be received in writing by the Secretary, Julia Davidson (juliad@metronet.co.uk or 020 8748 8451), not less than seven days before the AGM (i.e. by 30 June) and nomination forms are available from her. All candidates must indicate their willingness to serve by signing the form and must be proposed and seconded by full members of the Association.
This year, our closing talk will be on a subject of great interest to residents. CHRISTINA SMYTH will be talking about the work of the resident-led airports commission for Hammersmith and Fulham on which she serves and which has been contributing to the debate on airport expansion by studying the impact on the borough and Brackenbury village if Heathrow were to be selected. The commission, which is not party political, has now submitted its report to the Davies Commission on airport capacity and you can hear their findings. You will of course also be able to question Christina further and state your views.
As usual the meeting will close with a glass of wine and an opportunity for further discussion on anything provoked by the evening’s proceedings or for pure neighbourly chat.
