Residents are invited to discuss the results of H&F Council’s 20mph speed limit consultation at a meeting later this month. The council proposed the lower borough-wide speed limit to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on our roads, while improving the health of local communities and reducing delays.
More than 5,200 residents, workers and employers completed the consultation survey earlier this year, which asked whether or not they supported the plans.
The results will be presented to H&F Council’s Community Safety, Environment and Residents’ Services Policy and Accountability Committee when it meets at Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, Hammersmith on Wednesday 18 November. A report detailing the results will be presented to the committee and all residents are invited to attend and take part.
Residents were asked whether or not they supported plans for reduced speed limit across the borough. The consultation gave residents the chance to suggest any roads they thought should be excluded from the proposals, or any other measures that they would like to see included to support a 20mph limit.
In total, 5,287 residents, employers and workers from across the borough completed the consultation which ran through the summer.
The report, including feedback from this committee meeting, will go to the council’s Cabinet in January, for a decision on whether or not to implement any changes.
