Hammersmith Community Garden Association is staging a festival to celebrate this year’s bumper fruit crops.
The Apples & Pears Festival is being staged on Saturday 10 October, from 10am, at the Ravenscourt Park glasshouses – next to the café in the park.
The event is free, with apple-themed games, apple and pear tastings and locally produced preserves for sale.
Gardeners are being urged to bring spare apples along for juicing.
The event ends at 3pm… so still plenty of time to go for a Ruby in the evening.
