Hi everyone!
And finally some sun to suggest that spring is on the way. I hope that you all managed a pleasant break of some description over Easter and are suitably fortified for the upcoming May Bank Holidays.
There are many planning applications for major developments circulating at the moment – a couple are listed below. We are engaged with the council and developers on many of these where we feel that there is potential impact on our members. Please check our Planning Section on the BRA Website for more comprehensive updates.
We continue our dialogue with the council to better understand and feedback any concerns over the new recycling scheme being rolled out across the borough and are scheduling a meeting with the Assistant Director – Street Environmental Services for next week. Watch this space and our website for updates. If you have any questions or comments, please send them to: streetscene@brackenburyresidents.co.uk
We are engaging with The National Flood Forum to join one of the Community Flood Action Groups. Given the flooding of over 150 local properties in the last incident, and the subsequent challenges experienced – we are keen to do what we can to represent our members. Please check our website for updates. If you have any questions or comments, please send them to: streetscene@brackenburyresidents.co.uk
Finally, I hope that you will make note of our Summer Social on 19th June celebrating 25 years of BRA. I hope to see you there, in the meantime don’t forget your sunscreen
Regards,
Malcolm Carpenter
Chairman, Brackenbury Residents Association
