Landlords and estates agents must help keep streets clean says H&F

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is asking landlords and estate agents to do their part in keeping our streets clean.

It’s part of the council’s efforts to make H&F the greenest borough in the country as the council cracks down on dumped rubbish, fly tips and waste that has been put out on the wrong day or wrong place.

As roughly 30 per cent of H&F residents are private renters, the council’s Street Czar Andy Stocker is writing to landlords and estate agents to reinforce the rules and remind them of their responsibilities for rubbish and waste.

H&F Council will take enforcement action against offenders wherever possible.

Who is the Street Czar?

The Street Czar can provide landlords with information, tailored to any individual postcode, detailing how to recycle, where and when to leave household waste and how to book a bulky waste collection. H&F Council launched the Street Czar role this year so it can work quickly and effectively with residents to solve any issues with mess that might occur. The Czar is working closely alongside Cllr Harcourt, to swiftly resolve residents’ issues. For any help with keeping your street clean, or if you’re a landlord seeking more information, contact Street Czar Andy Stocker at streetczar@lbhf.gov.uk.
