Brackenbury Residents Association Annual General Meeting, Tuesday, 3 July 2018 at 7.30 pm
NOTICE OF THE 2018 AGM
Our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on Tuesday, 3 July 2018 at 7.30 p.m.at the Grove Neighbourhood Centre in Bradmore Park Road and we hope as many members as possible will be able to attend.
The new committee are concentrating on learning more about the needs of the community, improving communications and increasing social events.
The Committee Reports will be condensed to allow more time for conversation, drinks and questions.
Two members have resigned this year due to business and professional commitments.
Marine Raynor has resigned as Communications Coordinator but will remain on the committee.
Clare Radcliffe will resign as Treasurer and from the committee after this AGM.
The committee and members thank both of you for all your outstanding voluntary work for the association.
The new committee members will be elected at the next committee meeting. We welcome Dana Dyksterhuis who has volunteered as our new Communications Coordinator. We are recruiting for a Treasurer and welcome volunteers for that position and anyone interested in assisting the committee. The Treasurer is the only officer elected by members at the AGM so unless we can recruit a volunteer by 3 July we must delay that election.
After official Committee business Richard Winterton, our Vice Chairman and planning advisor, will speak about his work and involvement in the community, in particular about planning applications in the BRA area.
Drinks and nibbles will be served before the talk and after the meeting, when we hope everyone will stay on for further neighbourly conversation.

All other Committee members elected last year can now stand for re-election for further one-year terms. Any full or associate members of the Association may also stand for election to the Committee.
Nominations for the Committee should be received by the Secretary, Alyce Chadwell (firstname.lastname@example.org) not less than seven days before the AGM (i.e. by 26 June). Nomination forms are available from her. All candidates indicate their willingness to serve by signing the form which must be proposed and seconded by full members of the Association.
