Brackenbury Oral History Project

Imran Ahmad of Hammersmith Grove (and also a new BRA member) runs a company called Spoken Portrait – a professional voice recording service for capturing the personal stories and past memories of a person to pass on as a legacy gift to their families and future generations. For more information, please visit

Imran has offered as a community service to record the personal and local stories of long-standing Brackenbury residents as a record for the archives. This is a terrific opportunity to capture the social history of the area from residents who have experienced it over decades. Otherwise, when it is lost it will be gone forever.

If you or someone you know who may be interested in contributing to the project, please contact Imran Ahmad via telephone on 07967 329 802 or via email at
